SUMMARY: Lazydays is looking for a hands-on Corporate Staff Accountant to help us strengthen our financial foundation, improve accuracy, and support strategic decision-making. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact and grow with us as we rebuild.

The Corporate Accountant will play a key role in our lean accounting team by taking ownership of reconciliations, financial troubleshooting, and out-of-balance investigations. This position requires a strong attention to detail, a solutions-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Perform monthly account reconciliations
  • Proactively identify and investigate out-of-balance conditions and variances
  • Assist in the month-end close by preparing journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules
  • Maintain accurate records to support internal reviews and year-end audits
  • Help clean up legacy accounting discrepancies and improve process documentation
  • Collaborate closely various teams to accurately pinpoint month over month variance drivers
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes, reduce errors, and improved internal controls

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of general accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals (GAAP preferred) and reconciliation techniques
  • Proficient in Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
  • Comfortable working in a resource-limited environment and willing to roll up your sleeves
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have:

 

  • Experience in retail, dealership, or RV/motor vehicle-related accounting
  • Familiarity with POS systems or store-level financial reporting
  • Ability to automate basic reports or reconciliation tasks
  • Prior experience helping a company through financial turnaround or restructuring is a plus
