Lazydays RV is looking for an RV Instructor to join our growing team!

 

Summary: Lazydays is looking for an experienced demo technician. The demo tech is a part of the service and sales teams and performs duties for both departments. The demo tech is responsible for setting the tone in which customers can expect excellent customer service as they begin their RV owner journey with Lazydays RV.

This position is responsible to prepare and repair coaches and document all work performed on a repair order.

Responsibilities

 

  • Review future appointments with the service manager and delivery advisor to ensure they will be ready for their scheduled appointment.
  • Ensure that units are parked, opened, and ready for delivery the night before the orientation.
  • Double-check the units to make sure they are clean and acceptable per the Lazydays’ Way and that all accessories have been added per the delivery invoice.
  • Review the unit and become comfortable with all functions.
  • Give a proper orientation to the customer, focusing on operations of all components.
  • Walk the customer through the parts store and guide them through any parts or accessories they need/want to begin using their new RV. 
  • Help the customer hook up to their new unit.
  • Follow through on any customer concerns with the delivery advisor and the service manager.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 1-year service technician experience or related fields preferred
  • RVIA certification helpful but not required   
  • Prior technical experience in electrical, plumbing, or carpentry is highly desired
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record to meet insurance requirements
  • Provide own tools (preferred)
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Availability to work more than 40 hours a week including nights, weekends, and whenever needed to meet business needs
  • Flexibility to cover changing work schedules as needed
  • Ability to lift to 70 pounds
  • Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs, push and pull
  • Must be able to stand / walk for extended periods of time
  • Potential exposure to heights and hazards
  • Exposure to environmental conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust and wetness
  • Ability to work in changing climates and work outside for extended periods
  • Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation

 

EDUCATION: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
